Co-Curricular Excellence
at Mody School

More in Academics

Mody School places strong emphasis on the all-round development of its students. To nurture their diverse talents and interests, the School offers a wide range of co-curricular activities that promote creativity, teamwork, responsibility, leadership, and self-expression.

House System

Students are organised into four houses—Gargi, Kasturba, Leelawaty, and Sarojini—named after eminent women who exemplify strength, wisdom, and service. Throughout the academic year, students participate in numerous inter-house and inter-school cultural, literary, and sporting competitions, providing valuable opportunities to showcase their abilities and build team spirit.

Activity Clubs

Learning at Mody School extends well beyond the classroom. Students actively participate in a variety of scientific, literary, and cultural clubs, including drama, art and craft, debate and declamation, photography, ecology, adventure, and social service. These clubs encourage curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and experiential learning.

Students’ Council

Student involvement in school life and governance is actively encouraged at Mody School. Through leadership roles in houses and clubs, members of the Students’ Council develop confidence, accountability, decision-making abilities, and leadership skills essential for personal and social growth.

School Band

A distinctive feature of Mody School is its Brass and Pipe Bands. Under the guidance of experienced bandmasters, students receive structured training in musical harmony, rhythm, and discipline, transforming music-making into a rewarding collective experience.

Equestrian Training

Equestrian training forms an integral part of the Mody School curriculum. Conducted under professional supervision, it fosters self-discipline, courage, balance, and empathy for animals, while helping students develop poise and confidence.

Promoting Competition and Co-operation

To encourage a healthy spirit of competition, the School recognises and rewards outstanding achievements in academics, sports, and cultural pursuits. These accolades motivate students to strive for excellence while learning the value of teamwork and cooperation.

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

Through its association with the National Cadet Corps, Mody School instils values of discipline, patriotism, leadership, and service to the nation, shaping students into confident, responsible, and resilient citizens.

SPIC MACAY Association

Mody School is affiliated with the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY). By hosting renowned artists and performers from India and abroad, the School exposes students to the richness of Indian art and cultural heritage, fostering deep appreciation and respect for tradition.

Educational Tours

Annual educational tours to places of historical, cultural, and geographical significance provide students with experiential learning opportunities. These tours help bridge classroom learning with real-world understanding, nurturing national pride, cultural awareness, and responsible citizenship.

Founders’ Day Celebrations

Founders’ Day, celebrated every January, is a three-day celebration that reflects the spirit, achievements, and traditions of Mody School. Key highlights include the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony, Annual Ballet, Sports Day, and the Valedictory Function for Class XII, each showcasing the dedication, creativity, and leadership of the students.

IPSC and CBSE Events

Students of Mody School actively participate in IPSC and CBSE events across cultural and sports categories. Their consistent achievements in the form of medals, trophies, and certificates stand as a testament to the School’s commitment to excellence and the perseverance of its students.
