Mody School Round square and IAYP members took the noble task of serving humanity under the service project “PRAYAAS” .This five days project began on Saturday 17th November 2018. Mody School being the host school began registrations and offered warm welcome to all the strange faces of the seven participating schools namely Birla Public School-Pilani, Daly College-Indore, Emerald Heights,,Genesis Global-Noida ,Punjab Public School-Nabha, Sanskaar Valley-Bhopal and Shri Ram School-Aravali. Registration was followed by an ice breaking session “ru-ba-ru” conducted by Mrs. Richa Sharma, counselor Mody School and her team. After a stomach filling day of excitement the next day was to be welcomed with open arms.
The opening ceremony of MSRS Service project “Prayaas”, commenced on Sunday 18thNovember 2018 with the ceremonial lamp lighting done by Ms. Nishi Rana , Principal, Mody School, RS Representative Ms. Priti Sharma and IAYP coordinator Ms. Triveni Sanghi.
Ms. Nishi Rana , Principal, Mody School declared the service open stating that Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.Students presented a rendition of the institute’s theme song,a soulful rajasthani welcome song and dance. The next three days after the Opening ceremony were spent dutifully in rendering valuable services to students of Bal Seva Sadan,a school for underprivileged children in the vicinity of Laxmangarh.121 active members of Round Square and IAYP took up tasks like Each One Teach One, building walls, fixing tiles, wall painting , setting up basket ball court, tree plantation etc. Other entertaining sessions like playing games, music, dance, enactment, poetry recitation etc were conducted by the participating delegates.
Team work helps accomplish more .The combined sincere efforts of the IAYP and Round Square student members and teacher representatives helped in the successful blooming of the service project “PRAYAAS”. The closing ceremony was witnessed on 21st November 2018.Participating school delegates, teacher escorts were felicitated with momentos and certificates. Project “Prayaas” gave each participant and the recipient the reason to smile and live by the thought .
